Privacy Policy — RACO – Race Optimizer
Last updated: 2026-10-09
Who we are: RACO – Race Optimizer ("RACO") is operated by Mizan Tech, Kuwait ("we", "us"). Contact: support@tryraco.com.
What RACO does
RACO predicts your finish time for hybrid fitness races, shows where time can be found, builds a week-by-week training plan, and (for Pro members) writes your next training week and answers questions with an AI coach. All predictions and numbers are calculated by the app's own engines.
Data we collect
Account: your email address. If you sign up with email, your password is stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (with Apple you can choose a private relay address) and, if you allow it, your first name; we never see your Google or Apple password. For Apple sign-in we keep a token that lets us cancel the Apple sign-in for RACO when you delete your account.
Profile (optional): first name, gender, year of birth, race category. Your year of birth is used to compare your times with typical times for your age group.
Training and performance data you enter: running and station times, workouts (type, date, duration, effort, how it felt, notes), race results and splits, goals and target times, race dates and names, training availability (the days you train, session length), training plan progress and check-in answers (for example whether you missed sessions because you were unwell or busy), first-race questionnaire answers and readiness steps.
Calculated results: race predictions, goal paths and saved simulator scenarios.
AI training weeks (Pro only): when the AI writes your next plan week, it receives your last week (sessions done or skipped, planned and logged effort, how they felt, your workout notes from the last two weeks), your check-in answers and anything you type for next week. The written week and its note are stored with your plan.
AI coach (Pro only): the questions you ask and the coach's answers, any answer you report, and usage counts used for daily limits.
Subscription and purchases: whether you have Pro, which subscription, its renewal or end date, and the store that billed you. For each purchase, renewal or refund we keep the amount, currency converted to US dollars, the store's fee share and the date, from the app store's billing service (Google Play or Apple) through RevenueCat, linked to your account id. We never receive your card or bank details.
Invite codes and rewards: your personal invite code, the invite code you joined with (if any), and the free months you have earned. If you invite friends, we count how many joined with your code and how many subscribe, to give you rewards; you see only these numbers, not who your friends are. If you joined with someone's code, they do not receive your name, email or training data — only the totals above. Partners who earn a commission (for example a coach) receive only totals: how many people joined with their code, how many subscribe, and the commission owed.
Reminders: your reminder choices. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; no push service is used.
Crash reports (when enabled): technical information about app crashes (device model, operating system, app version, error details). No name or email is attached.
Usage analytics (only if you say yes): which screens and features are used, with a random identifier. No name, email, results, training data or coach questions. You can say no, or change your answer any time in Settings.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health-platform data or advertising identifiers, and we do not show ads.
How we use data
- to run the app: predictions, goal paths, training plans, reviews, reminders;
- to write AI training weeks and answer AI coach questions (Pro);
- to provide Pro: checking your subscription with the app store;
- to run invite codes: giving you free months you earn and paying partners their commission;
- to support you: our team can look up an account by email to answer a support request, see its plan status and give Pro by hand (for example to testers or coaches). Every such change is logged;
- to keep the service secure and to fix crashes;
- to improve the app, only from anonymous analytics you agreed to.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who processes data for us
| Provider | Purpose | Data | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | database, sign-in, server functions | account and all app data | Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1) |
| Google / Apple (if you sign in with them) | sign-in | the sign-in request; they confirm your email address (and name if you allow) to us | United States |
| Anthropic | AI coach answers and AI-written training weeks (Pro only) | your question, or your last week, check-in answers and training notes, plus a summary of your app data needed (first name if you gave one, category, predictions, goal, recent training and races) — no email | United States |
| Google Play / Apple App Store / RevenueCat | Pro subscriptions | your account id (a random code, no email), purchase, renewal and refund history | United States |
| Sentry (when enabled) | crash reports | technical crash data | European Union |
| PostHog (only if you agree) | anonymous usage analytics | screens and features used | European Union |
These providers process data only to provide their service to us. Anthropic's commercial terms state that inputs and outputs of its API are not used to train its models.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and its data straight away, and cancels your Apple sign-in for RACO if you used it. (A Google sign-in can be removed from your Google account's security settings.) You can also ask us at support@tryraco.com. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by the app store: cancel it in your store account settings.
- Change or correct data: most data can be edited or deleted in the app.
- Analytics: Settings → Share anonymous usage data.
- Reminders: Settings → Reminders, or your phone's notification settings.
- Depending on where you live you may have further rights (access, portability, objection, complaint to a data protection authority). Contact us to use them.
Keeping data
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our database immediately; backups held by our database provider expire within 7 days. Records of purchases and refunds (amount, store, date) are kept without any link to you, because we need them for accounting and to settle partner commission. Anonymous analytics are kept for 12 months.
Children
RACO is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Health information
Training and performance data can say something about your fitness and, if you tell us you missed training because you were unwell, about your health. It is used only to run the app for you, for example to make your next training week lighter. The app gives estimates, not medical advice.
Changes
We will update this page and the "Last updated" date when this policy changes, and tell you in the app about important changes.
